I have been dedicated to the building trade for over 25 years. Mechanical and structural elements have always intrigued me. I have a vast knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, framing techniques and green building practices. I find this background is beneficial during the design and building process. I have extensive experience erecting timber frame and Structural Insulated Panel homes. I am well versed in the International Building Code and am fluent in new technology and energy saving concepts. Waste management and recycling is also important to me.
From initial design to project completion, we are dedicated to meeting the needs and desires of our clients. We strive to use construction materials and methods that are both energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Customer service and satisfaction is always a priority. We pride ourselves on timely project completion and fine craftsmanship.
“Roe Cole was able to translate what we wanted in a float center and make it real with beams and drywall. There was a great deal of research and communication that would not have been possible with someone else. His knowledge and ability to learn brought Flote into the world. When we were considering a second location, we knew that it would not be possible if we didn’t have Roe. We cannot recommend him, and his amazing crew, enough for their professionalism, communication, skill set and sense of humor.”
Q: How do I get an esimate for my project?
A: Contact us and we'll come to the site to gather information. If any design work is required to provide a detailed proposal, a design contract will be drawn up. Once approved, detailed drawings will be provided. We use a program called Chief Architect that allows our clients to view their project in 3D. Please note, Roe Cole is not a certified architect however he has been professionally designing homes and additions over the past 25+ years. Once the final design is complete, a detailed proposal will be provided. If the proposal is accepted its cost will be discounted from the project cost. Detailed proposals range between $200 - $400 exluding other costs (i.e drawings by an engineer).
Q: How long will it be before my project gets started?
A: To maintain a fair schedule for all our clients we operate on a first come, first served basis. Once the contract has been signed, your job is scheduled based on preceding projects. To ensure a quality final product, we don't bounce between sites but instead finish each client's project before starting another.
Q: How far will you travel for a project?
A: Typically within an hour driving distance from Kittery, Maine.
Q: What happens to construction debris from my project?
A: All construction demo will be cleaned up by our team and taken to a local recycling facility, ARC. This facility accepts and recycles a large range of construction materials.
Q: Could I do parts of the project myself?
A: Yes. We'd love to help clients save money or discover a new passion. Any demo that can be done yourself will save you some money. Painting is another task relatively inexperienced clients can do themselves. Clients are welcome to do any work they're comfortable with so long as it doesn't impede our teams' work.
