Our team is dedicated to scrupulous cleaning, ensuring your project site is clean through the use of drop cloths, plastic barriers and daily pick up by our crew. All site waste and demo is recycled at the ARC facility in Kittery, Maine. ARC's recycling facility is preferred by us because of the large range of materials they sort and recycle into new products.

Our methods of construction are meant to lower your home's operating costs. After an estimate for your project, we can calculate your future home's operating costs before any construction even occurs. Over the past 25+ years Roe Cole has been dedicated to selecting and using products that eliminate pesky thermal gaps. This includes Structual Insulated Panels (SIPs) that are superior to traditional walls because of their solid, continuous insulation. Insulated headers are also an overlooked feature that create a proper thermal seal. Our methods of construction ensure your home will have best thermal seal possible, reducing significant energy waste, and saving you money.

what we do make your home green and energy efficient

Site and placement of the structure, natural wind buffers when clearing the site, orientation to true solar south to maximize solar gains
Design to minimize exposed glazing on the north face of the structure.
Fenestration choices typically triple glazing with different types of coatings depending on house orientation. Windows have an extremely high DP or design pressure.
The use of Thermomass insulation in the foundation with typically 4” of foam under the slabs.
Installation of HePex tubing in the slab for radiant heat, maximizes mass heating.
Installation of structural insulated panels or (SIP’s) for all exterior wall and roof areas. Typically, the rim joist area is also panelized as it is a weak area.
Roofing and siding choices are also critical, cold roof systems are installed to help maximize performance.
The use of geothermal energy to heat (typically we can heat your home with your existing well water!) or high efficiency heat pumps.
Installation of ERV energy return ventilation is a must in a well insulated home. Fresh air is slowly introduced while recovering up to 85% of the energy as stale air is expelled.
We try to use 100% LED lighting and all energy star appliances to reduce your carbon foot print.
